.:Hawksnest - Enter
the park (Ravens Run) from "The Right Stuff". You
will find a narrow chute dropping down into the
park, with a ground rail on a bit of incline, then
hit the medium sized rail.
The first
tabletop is after that, and upon landing, you have a
choice of hitting a table and a rail, or a 40 foot
rainbow rail and a 20 foot kink rail. Finally you
hit the last big kicker with a great take off, get
air, land, and ending up cruising back into the
Goshawk run. There are also numerous hits, jibs, and
a spine spread across the mountain for your riding
pleasure.
The ASU SnowBoarding Club rides at Hawksnest and
along with the snowmakers, maintain and design the
park.
Out of the park on their main run, "The Right Stuff"
is the biggest jump at the mountain, it is great to
hit fast or slow because of a long transition to
land on. I say "make the landing longer because you
can go over the landing". But this is wonderful and
they are the only mountain with a huge kicker in the
middle of the slope.
Beginners - if you crash on landing, get the heck out
of the way because you are in the landing zone.

Hawksnest has a big, long, tabletop with a great
launch and landing on their main slope. This is a
great idea and I am glad to see the jump back this
year, way to go guys!. You can hit this jump by
riding either chairlift. |
